Platelet Rich Plasma Technology

The buffy coat (PRP) is made up of platelets and white blood cells (WBC)

  • Platelets act as signaling molecules e.g., for growth factors

Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell (PBMC): Monocytes and Lymphocytes only

WBC are made up of

  • Monocytes – anti inflammatory (long term)
  • Lymphocytes – immunomodulatory
  • Granulocytes – anti inflammatory (pro inflammatory acute environment)

The procedure maximizes Platelets and PBMC composition and minimizes granulocyte components
